The
Product Genome
Project™
The Product Genome Project powers ProductBio. It's the most comprehensive analysis of "how (well) things are made" ever undertaken.

For over a decade, we've been gathering product category sustainability standards, supply chain best practices to understand what state-of-the-art "green" means across over 1000 categories of foods, goods, and services representing 80% of all product categories purchased by large organizations, and analyzed over 6M unique supply chains of products purchased by our customers.

We believe each individual has a unique relationship with music – no one has tastes that are exactly the same. So delivering a great experience to every listener requires a broad and deep understanding of music.
Our team of trained musicologists has been listening to music across all genres and decades, including emerging artists and new releases, studying and collecting musical details on every track– 450 musical attributes altogether.
The result of all our work is a personalized listening experience filled with both old favorites and new discoveries.

The Product Genome Project is an effort to "capture the essence of what makes up a product at the most fundamental level" using various supply chain production practices and attributes like work practices, materials, and corporate operational links to describe products and data science to connect them together into an interactive maps in order to understand their sustainability impacts better.

Project goals are to:
-
identify all the approximate supply chain practices in 1000 product categories which represent 80% of products consumed by large organizations.
-
determine the materials, supply chain practices, and impacts of the companies that make these products.
-
store this information in databases,
-
improve tools for data analysis,
-
transfer related technologies to ProductBio's analytics tools.
-
understand the common green, ethical, local issues of these supply chain practices.

If you are an ecolabel certifying body, a manufacturer, or a small batch producer of foods, goods, and services, we want to hear from you and partner with you to join in on the effort!
